Overview
The Staccato P is a full-size, hammer-fired, single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and built on the double-stack 2011 platform, an evolution of John Browning's 1911 design. Manufactured by Staccato 2011 (formerly STI International), it pairs a 4.4-inch bull barrel and a 4140 steel frame with a flat-faced single-action trigger tuned to a 4 to 4.5 pound pull. Optic-ready from the factory and feeding from 17- or 20-round double-stack magazines, the Staccato P has become a widely adopted duty sidearm among U.S. law enforcement agencies.

Background
The 2011 double-stack frame at the heart of the Staccato P was created by Sandy Strayer and Virgil Tripp, whose company STI International pioneered the high-capacity 1911 for practical shooting competition before pivoting to duty-grade pistols and rebranding as Staccato.
