Overview
The Star Z-84 is a Spanish 9x19mm open-bolt, select-fire submachine gun developed by Star Bonifacio Echeverria in the mid-1980s to replace the earlier Star Z-70 series. It feeds from a magazine housed in the pistol grip, uses a side-folding metal stock, and is notably sealed against water ingress, making it suitable for combat swimmers and amphibious operations (an over-the-beach, or OTB, capable weapon).
