Also known as: Steyr Classic Light II, CL II SX
Overview
The Steyr CL II is an Austrian bolt-action hunting rifle built around Steyr Mannlicher's Safe Bolt System (SBS), which uses a four-lug twin-opposed rotating bolt locking into a chamber extension together with a three-position safety featuring a 'free-safe' bolt position. It has a cold hammer-forged free-floating barrel, an integral aluminium bedding block, and a single-set trigger that can be set for a very light release. Chambered in popular hunting cartridges including .270 Winchester, it is offered in Standard, SX synthetic, Mountain, and Magnum configurations.

Notes
The CL II shares the SBS action used across Steyr Mannlicher's bolt-action sporting line. The single-set trigger can be 'set' for an ultra-light pull. SX models are commonly threaded 1/2x20 UNF at the muzzle.
Background
Steyr Mannlicher's Safe Bolt System was introduced in the 1990s as a modern successor to the company's long Mannlicher-Schoenauer heritage, and the CL II carried that action into a lightweight, synthetic-stocked hunting platform.
