Also known as: Steyr Evo 10 E, Steyr EVO 10-E, Steyr Evo10 E, Steyr Evo 10E

Overview

The Steyr Evo10E is a single-shot, .177 (4.5mm) calibre pre-charged pneumatic match air pistol produced by Steyr Sportwaffen of Austria for ISSF 10 metre Air Pistol competition. The electronic-trigger flagship of the Evo 10 line that succeeded the Steyr LP10 around 2016, it draws compressed air from a 200 bar cylinder beneath the barrel to launch a single breech-loaded diabolo pellet. Its defining feature is the electronic precision ball-bearing trigger, which replaces the traditional sear microswitch with a gold-contact release to all but eliminate mechanical movement during the let-off; the trigger is infinitely adjustable for first- and second-stage length and weight, and the blade can be moved in height, length, axially and radially. The pistol also offers an adjustable open target sight with rotatable blade, an adjustable sight radius, an anatomically carved walnut grip, and dry-fire practice without recocking, with a single battery charge lasting several thousand shots.

Country of origin: Austria

Notes

Not a cartridge firearm — the Evo10E is a precision 10m match air pistol firing .177 pellets via a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) system. The 'E' denotes the electronic trigger variant of the Evo 10; a mechanical-trigger Evo 10 and a shorter-grip Evo 10 E Compact are also offered.

Background

Steyr's match air pistols have long been a benchmark in Olympic-discipline 10m Air Pistol shooting. The Evo10E carried that lineage forward from the dominant LP10, pairing the company's signature recoil-absorbing barrel suspension with a gold-contact electronic trigger sought after by top-ranked ISSF competitors.
