Overview
The Steyr LP2 is a single-shot, .177 (4.5mm) calibre pre-charged pneumatic match air pistol made by Steyr Sportwaffen of Austria for ISSF 10 metre Air Pistol competition. It feeds a single breech-loaded diabolo pellet propelled by compressed air drawn from a cylinder beneath the barrel, and is the modern successor to the long-dominant Steyr LP10/EVO line. The LP2 carries an infinitely adjustable Steyr two-stage match trigger (factory-set near 500 g) with adjustable trigger-blade rotation, fully adjustable open target sights on an adjustable sight radius, and an anatomically carved walnut grip. It is offered alongside a shorter, lighter LP2 Compact aimed at junior and small-handed shooters.

Not a cartridge firearm — the LP2 is a precision 10m air pistol firing .177 diabolo pellets via a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) system supplied with two ~190 mm compressed-air cylinders. Standard model weighs 905 g; the LP2 Compact is 780 g (710 g with the small grip).
Background
Steyr's match air pistols built their reputation through the 2000s with the LP10, a benchmark Olympic-discipline 10m pistol; the LP2 continues that lineage as Steyr Sportwaffen's modern ISSF target air pistol.
