The Steyr Mannlicher Classic is an Austrian bolt-action hunting rifle built around the SBS (Safe Bolt System) action. It is distinguished by its traditional full-length Mannlicher walnut stock running to the muzzle, a Bavarian cheekpiece, a cold-hammer-forged barrel, and a three-position roller tang safety with firing pin block. Fed by a detachable box magazine, it is offered in numerous standard cartridges including .30-06 Springfield and is regarded as a premium European sporting rifle.

Background
The Mannlicher full-length stock, named for designer Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher, became an icon of European mountain hunting in the early 20th century; the modern Classic carries that distinctive carbine silhouette into Steyr's contemporary SBS-actioned line.
