The Steyr Pro Hunter is a synthetic-stocked bolt-action hunting rifle built on Steyr Mannlicher's SBS (Safe Bolt System) action. The weatherproof black synthetic stock features removable spacers for adjusting length of pull, and the cold hammer-forged barrel is paired with a stainless receiver. Its signature Safe Bolt System provides a tang-mounted wheel switch with multiple safety settings, including a fully locked condition. Background
Steyr traces its arms-making roots to 1864 and Josef Werndl, and the Mannlicher name to Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher, whose turn-bolt designs defined Austrian rifle engineering. The modern Safe Bolt System action carries that lineage into a line of practical synthetic-stocked hunting rifles.
