Overview

The STI DVC Carry is a single-action, semi-automatic pistol built on STI's double-stack 2011 platform, a high-capacity derivative of the M1911. Introduced in 2017 and chambered in 9mm, it pairs a 15-round double-stack magazine with a compact 3.9-inch bull barrel and a VIP-length, stippled grip module sized for concealed carry. The slide and frame wear a black diamond-like carbon (DLC) finish, and it ships with Heinie low-profile tritium night sights and a tuned match trigger.

Notes

Part of STI's DVC (Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas) competition-oriented line, the DVC Carry adapts the race-gun 2011 lineage for everyday carry. STI International later rebranded as Staccato 2011, and the DVC Carry's design lineage continues in the Staccato C/C2 series.

Background

DVC stands for Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas (accuracy, power, speed), the motto of the IPSC practical shooting sport that the 2011 platform was built to dominate before the design was adapted for concealed carry.
