Stoeger M5000 Waterfowl Special

Also known as: M5000 Waterfowl Special
Overview
The Stoeger M5000 Waterfowl Special is a 3.5-inch 12-gauge inertia-driven semi-automatic shotgun built for waterfowl hunting. Finished in Mossy Oak Original Bottomland camo over a Patriot Brown Cerakote receiver and barrel, it is purpose-built to blend into flooded timber and stand up to harsh, wet environments. The Inertia Driven action cycles 2 3/4- to 3.5-inch loads without adjustment, and the gun ships with oversized controls, an enlarged cold-weather loading port, a high-visibility red-bar fiber-optic front sight, extended choke tubes, and a color-matched paracord sling.

Notes
Stoeger is a Benelli-owned brand; its inertia-driven semi-autos are made in Turkey. The Waterfowl Special line is most documented in the M3500 designation, on which these inertia-driven 3.5-inch specifications are based; the M5000 designation and exact figures should be confirmed against the manufacturer's published spec sheet.
Background
Stoeger's Inertia Driven system uses no gas ports to foul - a single spring between the bolt body and bolt head harnesses recoil to cycle the action, which is why duck hunters trust it in mud, ice, and saltwater where gas guns gum up.
