Also known as: 22 TUC

Overview

The Taurus 22TUC is a polymer-framed .22 LR pocket pistol built around a tip-up barrel that lets the shooter chamber a round without racking the slide. Weighing roughly 10 ounces with a 2.5-inch barrel and a 9-round magazine, it is a double-action-only, hammer-fired blowback design aimed at deep-concealment carry and shooters who lack the hand strength to cycle a conventional slide. A threaded-barrel version added later in 2026 made it suppressor-ready.

Background

Tip-up barrels were a Beretta signature for decades; the 22TUC revives the idea for a market of carriers who cannot rack a stiff slide, turning an old European party trick into an accessibility feature.
