Notes
The CIA designation was dropped when the 650 was reintroduced in 2025 after being discontinued. The hammerless design is a misnomer-it still has a hammer, but it's fully encased by the revolver's frame. MSRP ranges from $454 to $469. The heavy trigger pull is characteristic of DAO hammerless revolvers and aids in preventing accidental discharge during pocket carry.
Background
Taurus's revolver manufacturing expertise traces back to their acquisition of the Smith & Wesson factory in Brazil, giving them access to decades of refined revolver-building knowledge that continues to influence their designs today.
