Taurus Deputy
Taurus · Revolver · In Production · 2024
Overview
The Taurus Deputy is a single-action revolver in the Colt Single Action Army pattern, chambered in .45 Colt or .357 Magnum with a six-round cylinder. Offered with 4.75-inch and 5.5-inch barrels, it uses a steel frame, a loading gate and ejector rod, fixed sights and a satin black finish. Unlike most SAA clones it fits a transfer-bar safety, so it can be carried with all six chambers loaded.

Background
Every faithful Colt SAA clone must be carried with an empty chamber under the hammer. Taurus broke faith on purpose, fitting a transfer bar so the Deputy carries six instead of five.
