Notes
The PT-740 Slim offered .40 S&W power in a package similar in size to the PT-709 Slim, though the larger cartridge reduced magazine capacity to 6 rounds. The pistol was discontinued around 2019 as Taurus transitioned to the G-series striker-fired pistols and .40 S&W fell out of favor in the compact carry market.
Background
