Notes
The PT845 was the .45 ACP variant of the PT-800 striker-fired series. The wider frame and heavier slide accommodated the larger .45 ACP cartridge while maintaining a respectable 12-round capacity for a .45.
Background
Taurus's semi-automatic pistol development accelerated dramatically after acquiring Beretta's Brazilian manufacturing facility in 1980, and the company has since developed an increasingly independent lineup of original designs alongside their proven Beretta-derived models.
