Also known as: Taylor's & Co. 1873 Cattleman Gunfighter, 1873 Gunfighter Deluxe

Overview

The Taylor's Cattleman Gunfighter Deluxe is a single-action revolver based on the classic 1873 Colt Single Action Army pattern, manufactured in Italy by Uberti and imported by Taylor's & Company. Chambered in .45 Colt, it holds six rounds and features a 5.5-inch barrel, a forged color case-hardened frame, blued barrel and cylinder, and a longer Army-size smooth walnut grip that gives shooters extra room for the little finger. The Deluxe version adds Taylor's tuned action, a spring change and internal polishing that yields a smoother action and a lighter trigger pull for cowboy action and recreational shooting.

Notes

The 'Gunfighter' designation refers to the extended Army-size grip frame. The Deluxe (Taylor Tuned) action targets roughly a 3-pound trigger pull; review samples have measured well under that.

A modern reproduction of the Colt Single Action Army, the revolver that helped define the American West, tuned by Taylor's & Company for today's cowboy action shooting competitors.
