Overview
Taylor's The Hickok is a single-action revolver built on the historic Colt Model 1871-72 Open Top design. Introduced in 2021 and manufactured in Italy for Taylor's & Company, it pairs a case-hardened forged-steel frame with a short 3.5-inch round barrel, an Army-size walnut grip, a front blade sight and a rear notch cut into the barrel. Chambered in .45 Colt with a six-round cylinder, it modernizes the transitional open-top pattern that bridged the percussion cap-and-ball revolvers and the later Single Action Army.
