Overview
The Thureon Defense Carbine is an American AR-15-style straight-blowback semi-automatic carbine-caliber carbine made by Thureon Defense of Wisconsin. Its receivers are purpose-built for pistol cartridges rather than adapted from AR-15 parts, making them slimmer and lighter, while retaining AR-15 fire-control components, ergonomics and trigger feel. The GA model feeds from Glock magazines and the SA model from Uzi-pattern magazines, with chamberings spanning 9mm, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, 10mm and .45 ACP.

Background
Thureon Defense engineered its PCCs from the ground up for pistol cartridges instead of retrofitting AR-15 parts, and the carbine format pays off ballistically: a 9mm load making about 473 ft-lbf from a Glock 17 pistol climbs to roughly 673 ft-lbf, a 40 percent energy gain, out of the longer barrel.
