Overview

The Tikka M07 is a Finnish break-action combination gun (Bockbüchsflinte) built by Tikkakoski, pairing an upper 12-gauge shotgun barrel over a lower rifled barrel most commonly chambered in .222 Remington. A barrel selector on the receiver directs the single trigger to either the shot or ball barrel, letting a hunter engage small game or feathered targets with the shotgun and take aimed rifle shots at deer or fox from the same gun. Produced in the 1970s and 1980s, some were imported into North America by Ithaca.

Combination guns like the M07 were also offered with alternate rifle chamberings; the 12-gauge over .222 Remington configuration is the most frequently encountered. Shotgun barrel is typically choked full.
