Overview
The Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite is a premium .22 LR semi-automatic tactical rimfire rifle built with aluminum upper and lower receivers and all the features of a true M4. It uses a blowback action with a buffer spring tuned for .22 LR, runs from 40-grain subsonic up to high-velocity loads, and is largely mil-spec compatible so it accepts most AR-15 stocks, handguards, grips, and sights. The Elite adds a 12-inch free-float M-LOK handguard, nickel-plated bolt, adjustable flip-up sights, and a full-length top Picatinny rail.

Background
Tippmann Arms Co. of Missouri (a separate entity from the paintball-marker maker Tippmann Sports) built its reputation on the M4-22, a faithful all-aluminum, mil-spec-compatible .22 LR clone of the AR-15/M4 that lets shooters train on a true M4 manual of arms with cheap rimfire ammunition.
