Overview
The TOZ-35M is a Soviet/Russian .22 Long Rifle single-shot free pistol built by the Tula Arms Plant for the ISSF 50 metre pistol (free pistol) event. It uses a rear-hinged Martini/Peabody-type breechblock operated by a lever at the base of the grip, a highly adjustable set trigger releasable down to roughly 20 grams, a fully adjustable target rear sight, and an orthopedic wraparound grip. Long favoured by Eastern-bloc competitors, it is one of the most successful and widely used free pistols in Olympic-style precision shooting.

Background
Designed by Soviet marksman-engineer Efim Khaidurov, the TOZ-35 free pistol carried Eastern-bloc shooters to Olympic and world championship gold, and its Martini-style tip-up breech and feather-light set trigger made it a benchmark for 50-metre precision pistols for decades.
