Overview
The Traditions Kentucky Pistol is a modern reproduction muzzleloading pistol inspired by the American frontier flintlock pistols of the 18th and 19th centuries. Built on a 10-inch octagonal barrel in .50 caliber and firing a patched round ball, it features a bird's head grip, engraved lock plate, case-colored sidelock and brass furniture. Offered in both percussion and flintlock ignition, it is a single-shot black-powder sidearm popular with re-enactors, muzzleloader hunters and traditional shooters.

Background
The design pays homage to the graceful Kentucky (Pennsylvania) pistols hand-built by American gunsmiths as sidearm companions to the long Kentucky rifle on the colonial and frontier era.
