Overview
The Traditions Pursuit is a .50 caliber break-action inline muzzleloading rifle designed for modern black-powder hunting. Loaded from the muzzle with loose powder or pellets and a saboted projectile, it is ignited by a #209 shotgun primer seated on a removable breech plug. The break-action design opens for quick primer access and cleaning, and later Pursuit models add a fluted chromoly steel barrel, Cerakote finish, synthetic stock, and Traditions' Accelerator breech plug and Speed Load System for streamlined field use.

Traditions Performance Firearms, based in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, built the Pursuit line to answer hunters' demand for an affordable, lightweight break-action inline muzzleloader; when customers asked for an even lighter version, the company responded with the sub-6-pound Pursuit G4 Ultralight.
