Overview
The TriCa (Trichy Carbine) is a compact, select-fire carbine chambered in 7.62x39mm, developed and manufactured by Ordnance Factory Tiruchirappalli in India. A shortened, lighter derivative of the Trichy Assault Rifle (itself based on the Bulgarian Arsenal AR-M1 Kalashnikov pattern), it uses a long-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt, feeds from 30-round box magazines, and is designed for close-quarters use by security personnel, vehicle and helicopter crews, and law-enforcement units.
