Also known as: Truvelo CMS, Truvelo CMS 7.62, Truvelo Counter-Measure Sniper, Truvelo SR Sniper Rifle
Overview
The Truvelo SR is a South African bolt-action sniper rifle, the 7.62x51mm NATO member of Truvelo Armoury's Counter-Measure Sniper (CMS) precision-rifle family. It is a manually operated, magazine-fed marksman rifle built on a cold-hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel button-rifled with eight grooves at a 1:11 (279mm) twist, set in an aluminium-alloy chassis with a side-folding, fully adjustable stock and cheek piece. Truvelo quotes accuracy of better than 1/2 MOA at 500m and an effective range out to 1000m (ammunition dependent). The 660mm barrel is threaded for a suppressor or muzzle brake, and the rifle carries NATO-standard Picatinny rails with a 20-MOA forward tilt for telescopic optics plus a detachable Parker-Hale-pattern bipod. It is fed by detachable box magazines (5, 10 or 20 rounds; typically issued with 10-round magazines) and uses a four-lug bolt requiring roughly 40 degrees of rotation.

Notes
Part of Truvelo's SR/CMS family of precision rifles, which spans calibres from 7.62x51mm NATO up to large anti-materiel cartridges (12.7mm, 14.5mm, 20mm). Published weights vary with barrel and optic fitment: roughly 5.6kg bare and about 6kg with telescope and magazine. The 26in (660mm) barrel is the standard option; a 28in barrel is also offered.
Background
Truvelo is best known in South Africa as a precision-engineering and measurement-instruments concern; its armoury division leveraged that machining expertise to build a respected line of accurized bolt-action rifles. Each rifle's operating parts are hand-machined from solid nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel, and reviewers have noted sub-MOA groups at 300yd and hits on a steel plate at 1200yd during testing. The CMS has appeared in films and video games as a distinctive folding-stock African sniper rifle.
