Overview

The Umarex Gauntlet is a bolt-action, pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle introduced in 2017. Notable for bringing a factory-regulated air system to a budget price point, it feeds .22, .177 or .25 caliber pellets from a rotary magazine and uses a 13-cubic-inch (later 500cc) removable air reservoir filled to around 3000 psi. The regulator delivers a long string of consistent shots per fill, making the Gauntlet a popular choice for backyard target shooting and small-game hunting.

Background

At its 2017 launch the Gauntlet was one of the first regulated PCP air rifles to sell for under $300, a feature previously reserved for rifles costing three to four times as much, and it became a benchmark value gun in the airgun community.
