Overview
The Umarex Hammer is a .50 caliber pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) big-bore air rifle, marketed as one of the most powerful production air rifles in the world. Designed and built in Fort Smith, Arkansas, it uses a straight-pull bolt to cycle a two-shot linear magazine and a Lightspeed regulated valve that releases compressed air behind a .510 lead slug, generating over 705 foot-pounds (about 956 J) of muzzle energy. Its carbon-fiber tank fills to 4,500 psi and regulates each shot to roughly 3,000 psi, making the Hammer a viable big-game hunting airgun.
