Also known as: Vudoo V-22, V-22 Rimfire

Overview

The Vudoo Gun Works V-22 is widely regarded as the finest precision rimfire bolt-action rifle available, designed from the ground up as a purpose-built .22 LR competition and training platform. Unlike most rimfire rifles that adapt centerfire designs, the V-22 was engineered specifically for the rimfire cartridge, featuring the only controlled-round-feed .22 LR receiver on the market -- a solid one-piece bolt with integral recoil lug that ensures consistent cartridge presentation to the chamber for maximum accuracy. Built to the Remington 700 footprint, the V-22 action drops into the vast ecosystem of 700-compatible stocks and chassis systems, allowing shooters to replicate the exact ergonomics of their centerfire PRS rifles for realistic rimfire training. The hand-lapped Ace, Bartlein, or Krieger barrels available in 16, 18, or 20 inches in Kukri contour deliver exceptional accuracy with quality ammunition. Feeding from the proprietary Vudoo V-2210 ten-round AICS-style magazine, the V-22 provides the same magazine compatibility used in centerfire competition rifles. The V-22 has become the dominant rifle in NRL22 (National Rifle League .22) competition, where its sub-half-MOA accuracy at 100 yards sets the standard for rimfire precision.

Notes

Vudoo Gun Works was originally based in St. George, Utah and has relocated its headquarters and manufacturing to Prague, Oklahoma. The V-22 barreled action starts at $1,320 with complete rifles costing significantly more depending on stock/chassis and barrel selection. The V-22M variant chambers .22 WMR for those wanting more range. The Three 60 model is a competition-specific variant. The controlled-round-feed design is unique among rimfire rifles and contributes to the V-22's exceptional reliability and consistency in competition.

Background

The Vudoo V-22 was created to solve a problem that had plagued precision rifle competitors for years: the lack of a rimfire trainer that truly replicated their centerfire competition rifles. By engineering a controlled-round-feed .22 LR action in the Remington 700 footprint, Vudoo created a platform that allowed PRS competitors to train with their exact chassis, trigger, and ergonomic setup using inexpensive .22 LR ammunition, revolutionizing rimfire precision shooting in the process.
