Overview

The Watchtower Type 10 Spec Ops is a billet AR-10-pattern (DPMS high-profile) battle rifle chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm NATO, introduced in 2024 as the big-bore companion to the Type 15. It uses a 7075-T6511 billet receiver set, an 18-inch black-nitrided stainless barrel with a 1:8 twist and mid-length gas system, a 15-inch S7M free-float M-LOK handguard, a Hiperfire EDT2 Heavy Gunner trigger, Watchtower's Tru-Black PVD Durabolt BCG, the Dragon Slay-AR compensating brake, and B5 Systems furniture, billed as a DMR-capable rifle weighing about 7 lb.

Background

The Type 10 extended Watchtower's billet Spec Ops aesthetic to the AR-10 platform, aiming to deliver designated-marksman-rifle accuracy in .308 while keeping the same family look and Hiperfire trigger as the 5.56 Type 15.
