Overview
The Weatherby SA-08 is a gas-operated semi-automatic sporting shotgun marketed by Weatherby and manufactured in Turkey. Introduced in 2008, it is built around Weatherby's dual-valve self-regulating gas system that cycles a wide range of 2.75- and 3-inch shells, from light target loads to heavy hunting payloads, without adjustment. Offered in 12, 20, and 28 gauge with synthetic, walnut, and youth/compact configurations, it ships with three interchangeable screw-in choke tubes and uses a chrome-plated bolt for reliability.

Background
The SA-08's self-regulating dual-valve gas system lets the same gun cycle everything from light clay-target loads to heavy 3-inch waterfowl magnums without the shooter ever swapping parts, a feature Weatherby leaned on heavily to market it as a do-everything field autoloader.
