Weatherby Vanguard Weathermark
Weatherby, Inc. · Rifle · In Production · 2015
Also known as: Vanguard Weathermark, Vanguard Series 2 Weathermark
Overview
The Weatherby Vanguard Weathermark is a weatherproofed bolt-action hunting rifle, a variant of the Weatherby Vanguard introduced around 2015. Built on the Japanese Howa 1500 barreled action, it is a push-feed, two-lug design with a cold-hammer-forged barrel and an adjustable two-stage match trigger carrying Weatherby's sub-MOA accuracy guarantee. The Weathermark distinguishes itself with a corrosion-resistant Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish on the barreled action and a rugged Griptonite Monte Carlo composite stock with tan and grey spiderweb accents, making it well suited to harsh-weather field use. It is offered in a wide range of chamberings including .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, .270 Winchester, and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Notes
The Vanguard Weathermark (Vanguard Series 2 family) is distinct from the higher-end Mark V Weathermark, which shares the marketing name but uses Weatherby's flagship Mark V action rather than the Howa 1500-based Vanguard action.
Background
The Weathermark name signals Weatherby's all-weather field configuration: a Cerakote-protected barreled action and a grippable composite stock intended to shrug off rain, snow, and rough handling on backcountry hunts while retaining the Vanguard's sub-MOA accuracy promise.
