Webley Mark VI Air Pistol
Webley & Scott Ltd. · Revolver · In Production · 2014
Also known as: Webley MKVI CO2 Revolver, Webley Mark VI Pellet Revolver, Webley MK VI Air Revolver
Overview
The Webley Mark VI Air Pistol is a .177-caliber CO2-powered air revolver that faithfully replicates the British Webley Mark VI service revolver of the First World War. Officially licensed by Webley & Scott and built largely from metal with plastic grips, it uses a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge to fire .177 pellets loaded into dummy cartridge shells held in a six-round cylinder, and reproduces the original break-top action that swings open for loading and ejection. With a six-inch rifled barrel it pushes pellets at roughly 430 feet per second, making it a popular collector replica and plinking arm rather than a firearm.

Notes
A licensed CO2 replica of the historic .455 Webley Mk VI service revolver, not a cartridge firearm. Offered in several barrel lengths (2.5, 4 and 6 inch) and in weathered 'battlefield' or polished silver finishes. The pellet version uses rifled barrels; a smoothbore BB version firing 4.5mm steel BBs is also produced.
Background
The original .455 Webley Mk VI was the standard British and Commonwealth service revolver from 1915, carried through the trenches of the Western Front and beyond. The CO2 replica was built from the original Webley drawings and reproduces the period markings, letting collectors handle and shoot a faithful stand-in for the historic World War I sidearm.
