Overview
The Weihrauch HW44 is a German pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air pistol chambered for .22 (5.5mm) and .177 (4.5mm) lead pellets. Introduced in 2017, it features a regulated action fed from a 200 bar air cylinder, a side-lever cocking mechanism, a 10-shot rotary magazine, an ambidextrous molded grip, and integral Picatinny and Weaver rails for optics. The match-grade barrel and crisp trigger make it a popular plinking and field-target air pistol, with an FAC version available in the UK that delivers near 17.75 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.

Available in .177 and .22 calibers. The standard UK sub-12 ft-lb version and a higher-power FAC (Firearms Certificate) version are offered; the FAC model approaches the legal limit for an unlicensed pistol elsewhere. Despite its pistol form factor it is sometimes used with a shoulder-stock adapter as a carbine.
