Overview

The Weihrauch HW57 is a compact under-lever, spring-piston air rifle chambered for .177 (4.5mm) pellets. Cocking the under lever exposes a self-opening breech for single-pellet loading, and the rifle is fitted with Weihrauch's renowned two-stage adjustable Rekord match trigger. A lightweight beech sporter stock, fibre-optic open sights, and an 11mm dovetail scope rail make it a popular plinking and small-game air rifle.

Notes

Marketed by Weihrauch as 'the biggest little rifle you can buy.' The .177 version is produced in a UK-legal sub-12 ft-lbf form (around 10.5 ft-lbf); higher-energy export versions exist in other markets. Also offered in .22 (5.5mm).

Background

Weihrauch, founded in Zella-Mehlis in 1899 and relocated to Mellrichstadt in Bavaria after World War II, is one of the most respected German air-rifle makers, famed for its Rekord trigger that the HW57 shares with the company's larger sporting rifles.
