Notes
The EDC X9 eliminates the grip safety found on traditional 1911 designs. The X-Frame is specifically engineered to hold 15 rounds of double-stacked 9mm while maintaining slim ergonomics. Available with left-side or ambidextrous safety, and trigger reach in short, medium, or long configurations. VZ grip panels feature a proprietary starburst texture exclusive to the EDC X9. The 2.0 version adds a compensator and refined features.
Background
The EDC X9 was born from Bill Wilson's personal desire for a carry pistol that combined the ergonomics and trigger feel of a 1911 with modern double-stack 9mm capacity. Wilson Combat eliminated the 1911's grip safety entirely, a controversial choice that purists debated but practical shooters embraced. Each EDC X9 requires roughly 40 hours of hand fitting by master gunsmiths, placing it firmly in the custom-grade tier.
