Overview
The Wilson Combat Recon Tactical .308 is a large-frame, AR-10-pattern semi-automatic battle rifle built on Wilson Combat's multi-caliber WC-10 receiver and chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm NATO. It uses a direct gas impingement system with an intermediate-length gas tube, a match-grade fluted 416R stainless barrel, a Wilson Combat M-LOK free-float handguard, and the Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit. Receivers are billet 7075 aluminum finished in Armor-Tuff.

Distinct from the 5.56 AR-15 Recon Tactical (wilson-combat-recon-tactical) and from Wilson's proprietary 7.62x40 WT chambering. The WC-10 receiver also accepts 6.5 Creedmoor and .338 Federal. Muzzle velocity and effective range are caliber-typical, not Wilson-published.
Background
Wilson Combat began in 1977 as Bill Wilson's custom 1911 pistolsmithing shop in Arkansas and grew into one of America's most prestigious semi-custom gun makers; the Recon Tactical name spans both its AR-15 and AR-10 lines as the do-everything tactical carbine.
