Winchester Model 70 Super Grade AAA Claro
Winchester Repeating Arms Company · Rifle · In Production · 2026
Overview
The Winchester Model 70 Super Grade AAA Claro is a premium bolt-action sporting rifle and the top-tier wood-stocked expression of the legendary Model 70 'Rifleman's Rifle.' Introduced in 2026, it pairs the pre-64-style controlled-round-feed action - with its smooth dual-lug bolt, robust claw extractor, jeweled bolt body, and three-position safety - to a stock of figured AAA-grade Claro walnut featuring a classic forend tip, Shadowline cheekpiece, and 20 LPI fleur-de-lis cut checkering. The barrel and receiver wear a high-gloss polished blue finish, and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad tames the magnum chamberings.

The Model 70 earned its 'Rifleman's Rifle' nickname for its controlled-round-feed action; the AAA Claro grade reaches for the most heavily figured Northern California Claro walnut, prized by stockmakers for its swirling dark mineral streaks.
