Also known as: Xpert, Winchester Xpert 22
Overview
The Winchester Xpert is a lightweight bolt-action rimfire rifle introduced in 2024, chambered in .22 LR and .17 Winchester Super Magnum. Its headline feature is the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger, a three-lever design engineered with zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel for a clean, glass-rod break uncommon at its price point. The precision button-rifled, chrome-moly barrel uses a semi-match Bentz-style chamber and a recessed target crown for enhanced accuracy. The Xpert feeds from a 10-round rotary magazine (8 rounds in .17 WSM) with metal feed lips, and the .22 LR models accept Ruger 10/22 magazines. An extended bolt handle adds leverage for easy cycling, while a hemispherical firing pin improves ignition reliability. Offered with either hardwood or molded polymer composite stocks, the Xpert weighs roughly 4.5 pounds, making it an exceptionally light and accurate trainer, plinker, and small-game rifle. The SR variants add a 1/2x28 TPI threaded muzzle for suppressor use.

Background
Winchester positioned the Xpert as proof that a sub-$350 rimfire could carry a genuinely competition-grade trigger; the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger's zero-creep, zero-overtravel break drew the most praise in launch reviews, with testers comparing it favorably to triggers on rifles costing several times as much.
