Overview

The Wilson Combat Recon Tactical is a premium semi-automatic AR-15-pattern carbine chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, hand-built by Wilson Combat of Berryville, Arkansas. It is constructed on CNC-machined billet upper and lower flat-top receivers and centers on a match-grade, medium-weight stainless steel barrel offered in 14.7-inch, 16-inch and 18-inch lengths with a 1:8 twist. The rifle runs a length-appropriate direct-impingement gas system (mid-length, intermediate or rifle-length depending on barrel) feeding a precision bolt carrier group. It is fitted with a Wilson Combat M-LOK free-float handguard, the TTU M2 single-stage match trigger, a Wilson/Rogers Super-Stoc adjustable buttstock, a BCM Starburst Gunfighter grip and a Q-Comp muzzle brake, all wearing the company's Armor-Tuff finish over a mil-spec hard-anodized base. It feeds from standard 30-round AR-15 magazines and is marketed as an accuracy-focused duty and defensive carbine.
