Overview

The Yildiz Dynasty HP is a 12-gauge over/under break-action shotgun built in Burdur, Turkey and sold in North America (notably as the Academy-exclusive Texas Edition). It pairs a lightweight 7075 aluminum-alloy receiver with drilled 4140 steel barrels chambered for 3-inch shells, and features a single selective trigger, automatic ejectors, a vent-rib barrel with fiber-optic front and mid-bead rear sights, a Grade IV Turkish walnut stock, and a set of interchangeable Mobilchoke tubes. It is marketed as an affordable, lightweight hunting and sporting over/under.

Notes

Offered in 12 and 20 gauge with 26-inch or 28-inch blued vent-rib barrels; the alloy receiver keeps weight down relative to steel-receiver models. Weight is approximate and varies with barrel length and wood density. The 20-gauge Texas Edition is listed at about 6.5 lb.

Yildiz has built over/under shotguns in Burdur since 1974; the Dynasty HP Texas Edition is one of several Academy-exclusive lightweight alloy-receiver models that made Turkish sporting shotguns a fixture of American budget gun racks.
