Overview

The Yildiz Pro Star Sporting is a 12-gauge over/under (stacked-barrel) break-action shotgun built by Yildiz Silah Sanayi in Burdur, Turkey, and marketed as a competition sporting clays gun. It uses a Boss-style locking system in a steel receiver, chrome-lined 4140 chromium-molybdenum steel barrels with a flat ventilated sporting rib, a single selective trigger, and automatic ejectors. Offered with 28-, 30-, and 32-inch barrels chambered for 3-inch (12/76) shells, it comes with a set of interchangeable extended choke tubes, an adjustable-comb select Turkish walnut stock, and interchangeable stocks, fore-ends, and barrels, positioning it as a lower-cost alternative to premium Italian sporting over/unders.

Background

Yildiz built its name on inexpensive over/under field guns, and the Pro Star is its bid for the clay-target market: dealers openly pitch it as a 'Perazzi-style' or 'Boss-style' sporter at a fraction of the price, complete with silver-soldered ribs and exhibition-grade Turkish walnut.
