Big Horn Armory CAT 5

Also known as: Model 89 CAT 5
Overview
The Big Horn Armory CAT 5 is a big-bore tactical lever-action rifle chambered in the powerful .500 S&W Magnum, introduced in 2026. Built around a 17-4 stainless steel action with CNC-machined components and a nitride finish, it pairs a 16-inch threaded barrel with a six-round tubular magazine and a modular fore-end developed with Ranger Point Tactical. A Picatinny-style scout rail and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad help tame a cartridge capable of producing muzzle energy levels reaching up to roughly 4,600 ft-lbs from the rifle's barrel, making it one of the most potent lever guns on the market.

Background
Big Horn Armory was founded to do one thing: build modern lever-action rifles around the gargantuan .500 S&W Magnum, a revolver cartridge so powerful that a rifle chambered for it rivals dangerous-game calibers.
