Browning X-Bolt 2 All Purpose
Browning Arms Company · Rifle · In Production · 2026
Also known as: X-Bolt 2 All Purpose
Overview
The Browning X-Bolt 2 All Purpose is a do-everything 2026 hunting configuration of the second-generation X-Bolt 2 bolt-action rifle. It pairs the X-Bolt 2 action - a 60-degree short-throw bolt with three locking lugs, the X-Lock four-screw scope mounting system, the adjustable DLX trigger, and a rotary detachable magazine - with a compact suppressor-ready barrel and Browning's Vari-Tech composite stock in OD Green, which offers tool-adjustable length of pull and comb height plus interchangeable grip modules. Short-action chamberings use a 16.5-inch barrel with 5/8-24 suppressor-ready threading, making it a handy, versatile all-purpose hunter. It is among the first X-Bolt 2 models offered in the new .22 Creedmoor and .25 Creedmoor.

Background
Debuted at SHOT Show 2026, the All Purpose distills the X-Bolt 2 into a compact, threaded, OD-green hunter built around the new .22 and .25 Creedmoor - cartridges Browning bet on as the next short-action standards before most rifles even offered them.
