Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR
Browning Arms Company · Rifle · In Production · 2026
Also known as: X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR, X-Bolt 2 Speed Suppressor-Ready
Overview
The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR is a lightweight, suppressor-ready hunting configuration of the second-generation X-Bolt 2 bolt-action rifle. It builds on the X-Bolt 2 Speed by adding a fluted sporter-weight barrel that is shortened with a belled muzzle for suppressor use, capped with a radial muzzle brake over 5/8-24 threads with a thread protector. The rifle wears a Vari-Tech composite stock finished in Browning's OVIX camouflage with adjustable length of pull, comb height, and interchangeable grip modules, while the barrel and receiver carry a durable Smoked Bronze Cerakote. It runs the redesigned X-Bolt 2 receiver and bolt, the adjustable DLX trigger, and the rotary detachable magazine. For 2026 it joins the X-Bolt 2 chamberings adding the new .25 Creedmoor and .22 Creedmoor.

Notes

DLX trigger preset ~3.5 lb (16N), adjustable to ~3 lb. Threaded 5/8-24 with thread protector and radial brake. The Carbon Fiber Speed SPR variant runs lighter (~6 lb 2 oz). Manufactured by Miroku in Japan. Caliber list also includes 6.5 PRC, 6.8 Western, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm PRC, .280 Ackley Improved, and .300 PRC.
Background
The Speed SPR pairs Browning's loud OVIX camo with a suppressor-tuned belled barrel, making it one of the first factory hunting rifles chambered in the brand-new .25 Creedmoor - a necked-up 6.5 Creedmoor that SAAMI only standardized in 2025.
