Overview
The CASH Magnum FreeFlight is a cartridge-powered penetrating captive-bolt stunning tool made by Accles & Shelvoke for the humane pre-slaughter stunning of heavy cattle, bulls and other extremely large animals. Built as a cylindrical, trigger-fired tool rather than a conventional pistol, it drives a free-flight penetrating bolt for maximum energy transfer, delivering up to about 578 joules with a .25 calibre 4.5-grain (green) cartridge to render the animal instantly insensible. It is chambered exclusively for .25 calibre stunning cartridges and incorporates a Stop Fire safety device, a fast-loading action and an ergonomic body that can accept a long-handle extension for reach.

Not a projectile firearm — the bolt is retained within the tool by a Stop Fire device after each strike; the 'free flight' refers to the unattached bolt accelerating freely down the barrel for maximum energy transfer. Available in .25 calibre only, using graded Accles & Shelvoke cartridges matched to animal size (e.g. Blue 3G, Black 4G, Green 4.5G). The related CASH Magnum XL fires a 6-grain red cartridge for up to roughly 667 J.
