The Century Arms BFT556 is the 5.56x45mm NATO chambering of Century's American-made BFT bulged-forged-trunnion AK platform. It mates the AK-100-series style 5.56mm gas system and magazines with the BFT47's hot-forged 4140 trunnion, 1.5mm stamped receiver, chrome-lined barrel, RAK-1 enhanced trigger, and optics-ready side mount, feeding from AK-pattern 5.56 magazines.
