Overview
The Faxon FX-19 Gen 2 is the second-generation evolution of Faxon Firearms' Glock 19-pattern striker-fired pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. The Gen 2 introduces a completely redesigned polymer frame with improved ergonomics, refreshed grip texture, and enhanced durability while retaining full Glock 19 Gen 3 holster, magazine, and accessory compatibility. The pistol keeps Faxon's signature Match Series flame-fluted barrel - offered threaded 1/2x28 in the Hellfire trim and non-threaded in the Patriot trim - machined from 416-R stainless steel and finished in nitride. The Hellfire compact slide is milled with a Trijicon RMR optic footprint under a removable cover plate, features aggressive enhanced front, rear, and top serrations, and ships with Night Fision Optics-Ready Stealth Series suppressor-height tritium night sights co-witnessing at the lower 1/3. Gen 2 refinements include an extended magazine release, a double-undercut trigger guard, and a low-profile magwell.

Background
