Overview
The FB MSBS Grot is a Polish 5.56x45mm NATO modular select-fire assault rifle family designed by Fabryka Broni Lucznik-Radom and adopted as the standard service rifle of the Polish Armed Forces. Its defining feature is a shared upper receiver that bolts onto either a conventional (C) or bullpup (B) lower, letting the same weapon switch silhouette. It runs a short-stroke gas-piston system with a rotating bolt, feeds from 30-round STANAG magazines, and fires in semi-automatic, three-round burst and fully automatic. The platform spans carbine, rifle and designated-marksman barrel lengths and replaces the wz. 96 Beryl in Polish service.

Notes
MSBS = Modulowy System Broni Strzeleckiej (Modular Firearm System). 'Grot' (spearhead) is the adopted family name; C-series are conventional, B-series bullpup, and the 762N is the 7.62x51mm designated-marksman variant.
Background
Development began around 2007 under a team including Adam Gawron, Bartosz Stefaniak, Grzegorz Misiolek and Maciej Sajdak. 'Grot' means spearhead in Polish - a fitting name for a rifle conceived as the tip of Poland's modernised infantry.
