Overview

The FN 502 Tactical is a single-action, hammer-fired, blowback-operated rimfire pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Introduced by FN America in 2021, it is designed as a low-cost training platform that mirrors the ergonomics and controls of FN's centerfire duty pistols such as the FN 509. The Tactical model features a 4.6-inch barrel threaded 1/2x28 for suppressor use, a milled slide cut for micro red-dot optics, suppressor-height iron sights, and ambidextrous controls. It ships with both 10-round and 15-round magazines.

Notes

Marketed as a rimfire trainer that replicates the manual of arms of FN's full-size centerfire handguns. The optics-ready milled slide and threaded barrel make it well suited to use with red-dot sights and suppressors.

Background

FN introduced the 502 alongside the 545 and 510 as part of a 2021 expansion of its pistol line, giving shooters an affordable .22 LR rimfire option that handles like the company's centerfire duty guns for inexpensive practice.
