Also known as: G26V, Glock 26 V, G26 V-Series

Overview

The Glock G26 V is the V-series generation of Glock's legendary subcompact 9mm pistol, released in 2025. The V-series designation represents Glock's latest generation, building on Gen5 improvements with refined manufacturing and ergonomic updates. The G26 V retains the beloved Baby Glock dimensions -- 6.42 inches (163mm) overall length, 4.17 inches (106mm) height, and a 3.43-inch (87mm) barrel -- while incorporating the Glock Marksman Barrel with enhanced polygonal rifling, nDLC finish, front slide serrations for easier manipulation, ambidextrous slide stop, reversible magazine catch, and flared magazine well. Weighing 21.69 ounces (615g) with an empty magazine, the G26 V maintains the standard 10+1 capacity and full backward compatibility with all Glock 9mm double-stack magazines including those from the G19 (15 rounds) and G17 (17 rounds). The V-series G26 continues the Baby Glock's 30-year legacy as one of the world's most popular subcompact pistols for concealed carry and law enforcement backup duty.

Notes

The G26 V was released in 2025 as part of Glock's V-series lineup. Weight without magazine is 559g (19.72 oz). The V-series shares identical dimensions and weight with the Gen5 model but features updated manufacturing processes and subtle ergonomic refinements. The front slide serrations, added as a standard feature in the V-series, were previously only available on the Gen5 FS (Front Serrations) sub-variant. Compatible with all existing Glock 9mm magazines from 10 to 33 rounds. Ships with two 10-round magazines.

Background

Thirty years after the original Baby Glock debuted, the G26 V carries forward a platform that has arguably done more to popularize subcompact concealed carry than any other handgun. The V-series update is evolutionary rather than revolutionary -- a testament to how well the original G26 concept was executed. In a market flooded with micro-compact competitors, the G26 V's continued production speaks to the enduring appeal of its magazine compatibility and proven reliability.
