Glock G26 V MOS

Glock Ges.m.b.H. · Pistol · In Production · 2025

Also known as: G26V MOS, Glock 26 V MOS, G26 V-Series MOS

Overview

The Glock G26 V MOS is the optics-ready variant of the V-series G26 subcompact 9mm pistol, released in 2025. The MOS (Modular Optic System) slide is precision-machined to accept popular micro red dot sight footprints, bringing modern optics capability to the Baby Glock platform. The G26 V MOS retains the same compact dimensions as the standard G26 V -- 6.42 inches (163mm) overall and 4.17 inches (106mm) tall -- while adding the ability to mount reflex sights for faster target acquisition. The MOS configuration features taller suppressor-height iron sights that co-witness with mounted optics, increasing the sight radius to 141mm (5.55 inches). Weighing 20.28 ounces (575g) with an empty magazine -- slightly lighter than the standard model due to material removed from the slide for the optic cut -- the G26 V MOS includes all V-series features: Glock Marksman Barrel, nDLC finish, front serrations, ambidextrous slide stop, and flared magazine well. Standard capacity remains 10+1 with compatibility for all Glock 9mm double-stack magazines.

Notes

Weight without magazine is 515g (18.17 oz), approximately 44g lighter than the standard G26 V due to the material removed from the slide for the MOS optic mounting surface. The taller MOS iron sights provide a 141mm sight radius vs 137mm on the standard model. The MOS system accommodates popular micro red dot footprints including Shield RMSc, Holosun 407K/507K, and similar compact optics sized appropriately for the subcompact slide. Ships with adapter plates for common footprints. The addition of a red dot to the subcompact G26 platform addresses the inherent sight radius limitation of the short slide.

Background

The subcompact MOS G26 addresses one of the fundamental limitations of ultra-short slides: a minimal sight radius that makes precision shooting challenging. By mounting a micro red dot, shooters gain an effectively infinite sight radius, transforming the Baby Glock from a contact-distance defensive tool into a surprisingly capable performer at extended distances. The G26 V MOS represents the convergence of two of the most important trends in concealed carry -- subcompact pistols and red dot optics.
